Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal organised Local Initiatives for Food Security (LIFT) project orientation to the staffs of six districts i.e. Mugu, Bajura, Kalikot, Okhaldhunga, Udayapaur, and Lalitpur. Two events of orientation were conducted, one in Nepalgunj from 19 to 21 May and another in Godawari Ashram from 27 to 29 May 2019. The major aim of the orientation was to provide the detailed information about the project goal, objectives, indicators, activities and prepare detail implementation plan from programmatic and financial aspects. The orientation programme was extremely helpful as staffs developed a deeper understanding of the project and helped to foster a positive relationship among staffs. Local Initiative for Food Security Transformation (LIFT) Project is implementing in Okhaldhunga, Udayapur , Lalitpur. Kalikot, Bajura and Mugu districts with the financial support from Bread for the World (BftW), Germany. The objectives of the project are to increase collective actions for strengthened gender and social inclusion in the targeted communities for social structure and local development processes; to enhance the food production and livelihood status of target communities for strengthening their food partners in the project areas for community development initiatives; and to establish and strengthen CBO Networks to manage community development initiative in an inclusive manner.
